Get Transperth Ready
Your child will be receiving their Student SmartRider within the first two weeks of Term 1*. Until it arrives, your child is entitled to Concession Cash fares.
Once your child has received their SmartRider, you will need to add value to activate it.
You can do this in several ways:
On board a bus (cash notes only)
At a Retail Sales Outlet or InfoCentre
Use an Add-value Machine, located at most stations.
Once value is added, set up an Autoload direct debit and don’t worry about finding another $5 note on a Sunday night! Autoload enables a direct debit to be made automatically when the balance gets low.
Autoload can be set up via MyAccount on the Transperth website. Follow the instructions carefully and you’ll be your way. Need a little additional support? Just call the Transperth InfoLine on
13 62 13.
If your child already has a Student SmartRider they can continue using their existing card. Once the new one arrives, call the Transperth InfoLine and we can transfer the balance.
