Specialist Australian Rules Football

The Wanneroo Secondary College Specialist Australian Football Program is designed to provide students with ongoing development in the skills and attributes needed to play Australian Football. The program aims to develop student’s individual strength of character and skills which are essential in emerging as leaders within the College and transforming them as leaders on and off the football field. We have a girls stream and boys stream.

Wanneroo Secondary College has a strong reputation in the football community, the program is endorsed by the Department of Education and the West Australian Football Commission in addition we have strong links with the West Coast Eagles, Fremantle Dockers and West Perth Football Clubs.

We are committed to providing students the highest standard of coaching and teaching by expertly qualified and experienced staff. The program is integrated into the timetable consisting of practical and theoretical lessons, providing players a holistic footballing education with pathways into coaching, playing, umpiring, administration and further education.

Throughout the year, keynote speakers from the football community feature in delivering leadership programs to students on and off the field, goal setting, sports nutrition advice and other important areas of the game.
