Dear Parent & Caregivers,
Yesterday a concern was raised with the school about an alleged threat directed towards young people at our school. This was shared via social media by members of our school community. At no time was this information substantiated as being a legitimate threat.
Regardless of this, safety concerns are always treated seriously, and the appropriate authorities were advised. Again, no plausible threat was identified. Despite rumours shared amongst students or members of the community, at no time, did any unexpected visitor enter our College site. At no time were any students or staff at risk.
If at any time, students or staff in our College community were at risk, families would be advised in a timely manner. I thank College family members for their measured approach in supporting their children with what were community rumours shared on social media. Should your child ever need support, our experienced student services staff are available.
